Christine-Marié First Kiss Fortified Chenin Blanc

A fortified Chenin Blanc which spent 2 years in older French oak barrels, and only produced in certain years. Made in limited quantities. Inviting orange-gold colour, with perfumed aromas of ginger preserve, ripe sultanas and melon. The oak content adds hints of butterscotch and peanut brittle to the aromatic spectrum. On the palate the flavours show a combination of sweet and savoury fruit. Rich and medium-sweet without being cloying.
